I bought these from a local shoe store on clearance. Because they were on clearance and it was the end of the season and I was on a budget- the choices were limited. The store I was at only had them in black- which I wasn't thrilled about- but the girl said these were one of their best sellers. The fluff inside was so fluffy that it seemed like the boots run small. I normally wear a women's 6 1/2 or a girls 5 1/2. The boots I tried on were a women's 8. They seemed to be just a tad big which was fine because that would give me room for my woolies come the super cold days outside.Like I said though, I bought these at the end of 2011-2012's winter and unfortunately didn't get a chance to wear them til next winter. Once I finally wore them a few times this winter and the fluff compacted a little- I realized they were just too big! But- they were so warm and dry and comfortable that I couldn't stand to get rid of them! So I kept trying to make them work for the majority of this winter until I realized that I was getting calf fatigue from trying to clomp around in clown boots every time it snowed. Luckily they fit my little sister(since when is your little sister suppose to have bigger feet than your own?) so I gave them to her and came back for another pair. After being spoiled by these warm, fluffy, super comfy and dry boots I just couldn't bear to buy any other type.I live in Wisconsin where winter's are just brutal- sub-zero temperatures are normal and snow seems to never stop coming from late November to mid March and sometimes later. Not once while shoveling, going to the store, or sledding with the kids have my feet been cold or wet in these boots! Not to mention my feet don't hurt after a long day outside either. The laces open really wide to allow a foot with multiple pairs of wool socks in without a problem and then lace tight again easily.No one else has thought to mention this but each boot comes with two pairs of laces. One in a matching color to the boot and one in a contrasting color that pops and in my opinion makes the boots look more stylish. Like I said earlier- I wasn't thrilled with buying the black boots at the shoe store because they had the black laces in them at the store. When I got them home, I seen that they also came with pink laces that match the colored dots on the bottom of the boots. They looked so much better with the pink laces! It seems that each color of boot comes with their respective matching colored lace and then a pair that matches the dots on the bottom.

Well, I had to break down and buy some snow boots but I didnt want to break the bank. When these went on sale, I jumped on it.First of all, they are SUPER light weight, the fabric is almost like a parachute material. The inside looks and feels like lamb wool and the top edge has a nice faux fur (both are actually polyester). They are incredibly comfortable, with soft inner soles and good cushion and flexibility. Did I mention they are light!? Great traction on the sole. Contrast laces look awesome. not bulky. W A R M.overall, a great purchase. They do run a little big. I bought a 10 and they will fit with my big wool socks, but I really wont need wool socks with the warmth provided by the boot. size down about 1/2 if you plan on wearing regular socks.

After the 2013 blizzard in CT I realized I really needed seriously warm boots! I ordered these after reading the other reviews and I am very happy with my purchase. The ONLY reason I did not give them a 5, if that contrary to other commentors, I feel they run a tad large. But they are fuzzy, warm, comfortable, and adjustable so I am very happy with my purchase! Of course they are the best guarantor of an early spring so I will get more use out of them NEXT winter! (I HOPE!)
