These boots are AWESOME! It's so nice to have the warmth of Uggs in a boot you can actually get wet and dirty and not have to worry about them.Trekking through snow is no problem at all and your feet stay warm and dry.Order a size up, because they run small. I usually wear a 7 in Uggs, but got an 8 for the right fit. The boots are only hard to get on and off the first few times you wear them. After they're broken in they go right on with ease and the lacing also goes quickly. I usually just unlace them loosely and they come right off and they go back on easily. You can also fold up the flap if you want to wear your pants over them. I would suggest slimmer in the leg jeans if you want to tuck in. All of that glorius sheepskin takes up a lot of space.The boots are extremely comfortable, like you would expect from Uggs, and the grip is very secure on ice. They are not as lightweight as regular Uggs, but they are not clunky either.I love them and recommend them for anyone who wants Uggs that they can actually wear out in the weather without worry.

I've had these boots for over four years and only now are the Vibram soles starting to show a little bit of wear right around where they join onto the boot. The inside of them gets matted down after about a few months, but it hasn't really changed how comfortable these boots are. I get compliments on them wherever I go and I love that I can go jogging in them when the weather gets bad.These are quality boots and I only hope that Ugg Australia continues to make them for a long time.EDIT:Got a new pair a couple of years ago, this time in the dark brown color. Same great quality, same influx of compliments from friends and strangers. Perfect with skinny jeans, shorts, and not strictly a women's boot. I wear them at least a few times a week, for running to the store, taking out the trash on a cold day. The boots, although they are tall, slide on and off with ease. You really can't go wrong with a purchase like this.

I will start this review by being 100% honest ... as much as I loved the look of boots online, I also balked at the price tag ... XXX is a lot for a pair of shoes, especially a pair with a very, very particular purpose and limited wearability beyond the wet and cold season. I want to mention the price point for one reason, because if you're anything like me, initially you may bypass these -- but stay with me here for a moment ...Being an avid traveler to the rainy and cold Pacific Northwest, AND a person who has struggled to find "the right boots" (you know ladies, one's that don't chew up my heel to mincemeat and leave my toes numb from the cold) for several years now, I took a leap of faith and bought these delicious little beauties.They are as beautiful in person as they are online. The leather has a subtle vintage feel, the sheep "fluff" (as I call it) is warm and soft, grey in color from the ankle up and the creamy color once it reaches the insole (very functional so your toes won't turn an unsightly color if you wear them barefoot!). The height is perfect for leggings -- hitting just below the knee and you can fold them up or down for a little more or a little less depending on your particular height (I am 5'3"). There is no "break" in the back of the heel which can sometimes lead to the heel-chewing I alluded to before and they are immediately comfortable without the standard "breaking in period". The Verbram sole (!!!), known for it's durability, has moderate traction, which is perfect for me since I'm a beachcomber by heart and will use these mostly on wet rock and damp sand but, with that said, I'm hesitant to say they'd handle well on ice. The construction of the boot itself makes your foot look very slim, unlike regular UGGS which can sometime make your foot look wide and flat.Overall, the boots are equal parts function and fashion. Once I had them on, I started to forget the price tag -- just a little ;)But, they aren't without faults. I have a "wider" calf and did order 1/2 a size up (normally a 7, bought a 7.5) though UGG doesn't advise this. It bought me just enough room that, while the shoe still fits comfortably, the laces aren't stretched to maximum capacity.Others have mentioned the pain these boots are to take on and off ... and yeah, they're right. They aren't slip-on/slip-off shoes. It takes a minute. But, believe me, it's not a 15 minute ordeal by any means.
