Just got my boots today and I am extremely happy! I started shopping for boots a few months ago, but could not find boots that were both functional and stylish. I finally found these and based on the positive feedback I chose to try these. Since placing the order I was filled with buyers remorse as I had never bought footwear online, let alone snow boots! What if they were thin and didn't keep my feet warm? What if their sizing was off? What if the tread is crappy? After wearing them most of the day, (It snowed just this morning and it is sub zero out)I have to say right now they are great! Comfy and warm and the tread kicks butt in the snow (no ice to test yet). I am normally a size 71/2 wide and bought an 8 and without two socks they are a bit big but I knew that going in. I wanted to be able to wear a few pairs of socks when I wore them. With socks they fit snug but not too tight.The tread is thick and seems to handle snow very well, but sole is not so heavy that I feel like I am 'clonking' around everywhere. The stitching is tight and well done. Can't wait till the end of winter to see how they hold up!

I had to review this boot because it is among the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. Great to find a cozy winter boot that feels as light as an ugg, but has great support, traction, a springy sole, comfortable, and decent arch support. The little tassel and the fur accent is cute as well. I am completey sold on Baffin! I think I paid about $70 - looks like dif sizes and collars are different costs, but I thought that was a great deal. I got the light tan ones. I wear a size 10 and the 10 fit perfectly. I'm in California, so I can't tell you a lot about how they would be in a very cold snowy place (but they are cozy for sure), but for me, they are nice replacement for Uggs (I can't deal with the cheap soles and flateness of Uggs - plus the expense!). They'll be great up in Tahoe in the snow because the soles look like they have great traction.

Due to sizing comments I ordered both an 8 (my street shoe size) and 7, but the 8 fit better. Normally I go sockless, tights-less, everything, just bare feet straight into the boots. With the 8, I got some heel slippage, but the toe box was roomy and comfy. With the 7, my foot felt more secure, but the toe box was tight. I'm still not sure whether I'll keep them, because REI has a short Baffin boot that I like better, but if I do, I'm keeping the 8, and might knit myself some thick socks to go in them. Bonus: You can roll the top down for a shorter boot shaft.I tried them on with shorts, so, nothing tucked in, etc., and they were fine. They appear to have enough room in the shaft to add jeans or pants, but they were not gaping horrifically at the top of the opening without them.
