the tounge on the boots is not water proof...

the tongue is only gusseted like 1" from the bottom which makes these useless if you have to step through a big snowmelt puddle. which is dumb because the sorel joan of arctic's are basically the same boot just shorter and they are gusseted at the tounge to the top of the leather about 5-6" total. the joan's did me well in the recent 20" snow storm and through the puddles down in the city. so i returned these and kept the joan of arctic's which are AWESOME

Sadly not the right shape for my feet.

These look great, the heel to toe size was perfect but unfortunately the shape wasn't. The part where the rubber toe part ends inside was not wide enough for my foot and it dug right into the top of my foot which made wearing them very painful so I had to send these back. A shame, because aside from that I did like them a lot. I'm sure these are worth more than 3 stars for people with less wide feet and/or lower arches.
