Bought these for my daughter for Christmas. She loves them!!! She has to walk the dog and from the train to school and her feet are staying warm and dry..

I have yet to wear these in the snow but at least they have way more tread than my favorite Merrell boots. It is true that the tongue is not moveable but if it was functional, snow and rain would get in. My calf is around 15 inches at the widest (where the boot hits, coincidentally) and there is room for my jeans. Do note that these boots run HUGE. I normally wear a 7 and the 6 is big but I plan to wear thick wooly socks and/or insoles. The label rates them 15 degrees F comfort rating and guarantees waterproof. WIll wear them around the house before final decision but I think these are keepers!

These arrived today and I will be returning them. While the description made it sound as if the front had a working set of laces and tongue, it does not. The tongue of the boot is sewn to the sides and the laces, therefore, do not work. Thus, these boots are too small in the calf and I cannot wear them. I was hoping that I'd be able to loosen the laces just a bit and have a stylish set of winter boots with good grip on the bottom. Alas, it is not to be with these. The boots themselves are beautiful and fit my foot comfortably, I just cannot zip the last quarter inch and that makes them uncomfortable and unsuitable.
