After knowing about these for probably 10 years (I received a positive recommendation while on a camping trip) I finally found a pair in a store where I could try some on, I fell in love. They were on sale so I got a pair. I got the pink ones because they had pink and purple I like both and purple is really my favorite color, but I thought in this case the pink was prettier and would match more of the stuff I wore where the purple was kind of a weird hard to match shade. They are a beautiful hot pink in person, the purple was too dark. I feel like because these are a men's size they fit my legs, normally I would not be able to find boots this height that fit around my huge calves, its even fun finding plus sized boots. They are SNUG to my legs but most shoes I couldn't even fit in at all. My calves measure at about 18 inches. Please note a few things on size- I feel like they run large, I wear 10/11 in womens sizes, and these are a little big on my feet, it might just be because I run at the smaller end of the spectrum for a 9-10.5 (a Men's 9-10.5 is susposed to fit me and in men's shoes I usually wear a 9.5 and it has a little room but a 9 is too small) so you can take this into consideration when you order, all things considered if you buy the proper size I think its a great shoe it was very comfortable from the beginning, and I don't feel like I should downgrade my rating because the style seems to run big. Also DON'T THINK "Oh I want to put heavy socks in them anyways its okay if they are big" I think you will be unhappy, they feel like they would possibly get HOT if you wear heavy socks, with the way winter has been here we haven't really had 0 degree weather so I can't say for certain but they are very warm so far, now I wouldn't even mind if we had the freezing cold days we briefly had back in January, bring it on, I could go for some cold/snow to really test the insulation, these boots are definitely warm, I feel like I will really appreciate them if we have miserable weather. You probably have to kind of learn to walk in them at first because they are a little different to walk in kind of bulky shaped to get that signature look, but they are not real heavy, I love the funky look I love weird shoes, to some extent I am totally against the shoes with toes because those are just too weird and ugly, but I like interesting shoes,I have a pair of Zig-Techs just because they look different than normal shoes with the zig-zag soles I want shoes that scream LOOK AT ME. These definitely do especially in hot pink!

The sizing chart is gaged on only men's sizes. I'm a woman and my shoe size is 7.5 US. The sizing options on this site offers ranges. I chose the 7-8.5 size thinking that it would fit, however, the size range I needed was the 3-6.5 because it was based on a man's size. So now I have to exchange it! :/ ugh

they werent the red i expected, they were more of a fucia pink. the fit is for a wide foot, but length wise is fine. i am a ladies size 8 and the 39-41 were ok. cant wait to try them this winter
