I have been on a search for boots that I could wear in the snow. I'm taking a ski trip soon and really wanted a pair of boots that were: functional (kept my feet and toes warm)....and also looked great. I bought 7 other pairs of boots from seven other vendors/companies/brands and had to return every single pair. They were all too hard, heavy or bulky...a couple of the boots seemed like they were for men...even though the descriptions say they were for women. One pair even had a steel toe!!!....OMG!.....well, I first bought a pair of these Timberland Mount Holly Tall Duck Boots in Solid Black and I LOVED LOVED LOVED them when they arrived. They were perfect!.... super warm inside, cute and feminine design, lightweight and just totally awesome. I loved the black pair so much that I ordered the Taupe color as well. I love my boots....way to go Timberland!!! :-)

I'm in Michigan and needed some real snow boots, so I bought these. They look cute and work very well to keep out the cold! I can walk around and the snow will just drain off of them. My size is a little tight with gel insoles. So far they seem pretty durable!

I'm very sorry to have to review negatively, but if I had known this I wouldn't have wasted the money ordering these boots.They are extremely tight across the top of the toes and the instep which make it impossible for someone like myself to be able to wear these boots. I have wide feet for a women(wear size 6), but usually just go up a half size and the problem is fixed. Well I went up a whole size and my toes are really far away from the end, but my feet feel very squeezed all across the front.On the plus side the boots felt soft and warm on the inside and are very cute.Buyers beware if you have wide or even average feet and a high instep these are not the boots for you no matter how cute they look and are. :)
