I bought these Sorel boots for glacier hiking in Iceland last December and they definitely served their purpose. My toes didn't go numb when the rest of me did, which is a good sign of a good boot! The tread is great on thick ice as well, and it made walking around ice covered sidewalks a lot less slippery.

I am absolutely in love with these boots!! I ordered a half size up and they fit perfectly. I am able to slip my foot in without undoing the laces and they fit nice and snug and could accommodate a thicker pair of socks if necessary. They look great and keep my foot nice and toasty. Amazon had the best price around and I am thrilled :)))

These are very warm and made very well. Gave 4 instead of 5 stars simply because the bottom is slippery when wet - which I know is probably all rubber boots, but since I fell on a snowy/rainy day when I slipped on an escalator, I can't help but take it out on the boots. ;)
