Excellent Boot for Problem Feet

Because I suffer from severe Plantar Fasciitis in both feet I was sceptical about ordering any kind of footware via the internet. I received a pair of Columbia boots for Christmas however I returned them because they lacked arch support. After reading the reviews, I decided to give these Sorels a try. I ordered a half size larger then I normally wear as I use a thin insole. These are wonderful boots. They are not big, clunky, heavy boots. My feet stay warm and dry but most important, to me, is these boots do not cause any foot pain. The foot-bed is soft and offers excellent arch support. I would recommend these boots to anyone who suffers from Plantar Fasciitis (or not). I couldn't be more pleased!

Fabulous winter boots!

I had been eyeing these boots since last winter and now that we've had over 12" of snow already this winter and 40 degrees feels warm, I made sure these boots made it on my Christmas list. I am so happy! I chose the oyster color and it is a nice, stylish neutral (a soft grey with sort of an ice blue undertone to it).Size-wise, I typically wear a size 8. However, after looking at their sizing chart (a must-do!) and also knowing I typically wear thicker socks in the winter that are difficult to squeeze into my size 8 shoes, I had my husband order me a size 9. I have worn them several times now with regular, non-bulky socks, and I feel like I do have some extra room for bulkier socks, but the extra room I gave myself doesn't feel like I'm swimming in the boots. I'm pretty confident that I ordered just the right size. I might have been able to go with a size 8.5, but I might not get my thicker socks in there as comfortably.Additionally, these boots are very well constructed, feel light on my feet despite being a winter boot, and most important of all they keep my feet warm! Hallelujah! Seriously, my feet feel like frozen blocks of ice in the winter. Once I go outside my feet get cold and they stay cold for hours it seems. Not with these boots. My feet stay warm!With regard to price, I've never paid more than $40 for a pair of winter boots (and all they ended up being were bulky weights that never kept my feet warm), but I've also never lived in this much snow, so I saw this as the time to make the investment. I have no doubts I'm going to get a ton of use out of these boots and be warm every single time!The -only- adjustment I'm still getting used to with regard to these boots is driving with them. I don't typically wear boots at all, so I'm not used to any limited flexibility in my ankle. I do not feel that it's a hazard to drive with them - they're not bulky nor heavy - I just have to either loosen the laces or put a little more pressure to press down on the gas pedal. No issue pressing the brake pedal -- just flexing the ankle to press the gas pedal. Perhaps this will work itself out as I continue to break them in.Also, all my prior winter boots were zip-up, but these lace up boots take no time at all. I slide my foot in, tuck my pant leg in (they're a great height), and pull the laces tight (they tighten up very smoothly with ease), and then tie 'em up. No fuss. It's also really nice that the tongue of the boot is constructed to keep snow out. That's a huge plus.So, final conclusion, these are fabulous winter boots!

Sorel Cumberland is fantastic

I bought the Sorel Cumberland boots form Amazon just over a week ago. I live in New Zealand and spend as much time in the snow in winter as possible. Firstly the delivery was fantastic. The boots went through 3 different countries before they got here and the whole process only took 5 days!Secondly, the boots look great and are incredibly warm and comfortable. I was a little worrried about getting the size correct, but went to the Sorel website, measured my feet and worked out from the sizing graph which size to get. The fit is perfect.Thank you Amazon and Backcountry I am truly impressed with your speed and service.

Beautiful

Bought these from Sorel.com last year when they were brand new. Got the lighter color. Could not be more in love with them. I thought they were pretty true to size but I also tended to wear "winter" socks with them letting them peek out at the top a little. They worked great for snowy situations but then again I wasn't trying to hike up any snow drifts . They are easy to slip on and off. I feel like I ended up wearing them everyday last fall. I get tons of compliments!

Just okay

I absolutely love the color and the style -- it's a nice, versatile boot and so far these are wearing well with daily use. They are comfortable to wear all day, as they are not quite as heavy as some winter boots can be. I got a 9 (usually I wear an 8/8.5) and these fit perfectly -- maybe too perfectly -- although the the ankles are a bit wide.While they keep my feet dry, the "warmth" rating on the included tags has got to be an exaggeration, because my toes are freezing in these boots (after about 30-45 minutes of being outside), and because of the exact fit, I can't get a thick sock in there that might keep my feet warmer. In fact, I suspect that my feet are actually sweating inside the boot and that's why they feel cold. A 10 would be waaaay too large for me, so I'll have to experiment with different socks if I want to keep these boots. Also, the tread on the bottom is not particularly impressive.Edited: I'm taking off one star because these boots leak all along the edge between the rubber bottom and the textile shaft, as well as the top of the shoe. They are also not fast drying. Don't wear these boots in rain, sleet, or deep snow.

I recieved these fairly quick, exactly like the photo. They are rubber so a little tighter than I expected, especialy with only whole sizes. I am a 7 1/2 in anything open toe or heel and a true 8 in anyting closed. I got these in an 8 and they fit too perfect like it was made to my foot measurements. I have no room to even ware pantyhose. But there is noe need as the fur is soft, comfortable and very warm. I wore them in rainy/snowy Germany the day I got them and they have great traction and comfort with the exception of one of the seems which I fixed with and emery bord (sandpaper). Just rub against any bothersome seem and presto softness. They are worth the price in every way. I bought navy and they are beautifull and shinny and a true navy. Great with my navy tights. I would have given 5 stars if there was sock and toe wiggle room but there isn't. If you want that get the next size up.

Awesome quality!!

These boots arrived very fast. I love everything about them, they are very durable and definitely well built. However, they run just a hair short. I usually wear 7 1/2 but since there weren't half sizes I ordered the 8 and even the 8 is slightly short. I will make them work but really wish they came in 8 1/2 because I think the 9 would be way too big. Other than that I would recommend to anyone!!

Very Pleased

I ordered these boots because I live in Montreal, Canada and I walk to and from work every day. I needed a good quality winter boot that could withstand all the snow and frigid temperatures that we get here. These boots currently sell for $160 before taxes in the store near me, so when I found them here for $97.46, tax and shipping all in, I ordered them immediately! Before ordering, I tried them on at the store in my usual size 7, and they were too big... so I ordered a size down and they fit perfectly!Some people think that these are too clunky and wide. Listen, this is a winter boot that's suitable for -25°F (-32°C)... something smaller/slimmer isn't really possible. But regardless, these boots ARE cute. I consider myself a fashion forward young woman, and I have no issues here. I can see how people might be concerned about how wide they are, because they DO look wide when looking down at your own feet, but a friend of mine has a similar pair of Sorels that look totally adorable when I look at them on her feet, and they don't seem wide at all!I also wore these out on a 3 hour walk in 14°F (-10°C) weather and my feet were toasty warm and totally comfortable.I definitely recommend these.

Warm, Classic, Well-Made Boots

I work on a farm in upstate New York, and these boots remain warm and waterproof through the winter. I recommend them highly for quality, and I also love the look of them! Although several reviewers have commented that they run large, I found that I needed to order a size up so I could fit a couple pairs of wool socks in them.

Lifesavers!

I bought these for a winter outdoor trip my boyfriend and I took. We rented a forest service fire lookout tower and checked the weather (which was NOT supposed to be snowy) and headed out. Upon arrival we learned--when our car could no longer make it through the snow--that it had indeed been snowing. These boots saved my feet and my positivity, as we ended up hiking miles in them and I felt no cold or discomfort. What could have been a disaster was saved by good shoes (and of course, good company).

Love it!

I have narrow feet so read other reviewers who complained about the narrowness of the toe area, which I took as a great sign that these would fit me well. And they do! They are comfortable and stylish. The quality and detail are nice, distinctive touches that make this a really cool boot. Would certainly buy other shoes from Jambu.

I love this boot!

I wanted a clog look with a boot twist and that's exactly what I got. They look great with skinny pants or jeans, or under bootcut or wideleg pants. They are super comfortable and I can't say enough about the stability it offers. I have weak ankles and flat feet, plus, I wear a size 11 to 12! My feet surely tests the limits of even the best of shoes. These shoes, hands down, rise above my foot challenges. Style, functionality, versatility and comfort is what you get in the Jambu Netherlands boot.

Cute and funky boot

Saw these while searching for something else, and fell in LOVE with them! They were out of my size in black (my first choice) but I liked them so much I decided to try the Wine. Love the colour, although I would say it is more "raspberry" (slightly pinkish). Also really like the versatility of being able to fold down the cuff. I think they will look great with pants or a skirt, the fit is great (true to size) and a wearable heel height. Can't wait for colder weather to wear them more (I confess, I received these in June and yes had to wear them once!)

Nice snow boots!

Nice boots. They are very toasty and you can either tuck in your pants or wear them under boot-cut jeans. Because of the mid height and lack of big fluffy faux fur top they work well either way. They're also light weight for the size and style - I wore them all day and they were quite comfy. I have no idea why they call these "Black/Bright Rose." They're all black. The ~1" logo on the bottom of the sole is red. I had already seen them in a store so I knew color description was weird.They run true to size so probably a good idea to get a half size larger than your normal shoe size if you want to wear heavy socks.Update 9/13: After two seasons they are still nicely leakproof, and the little bit of stiffness in the ankles goes away after a few wearings. The soles have a nice grip in snow and slush. I'm looking to get another pair in a different color.

Great Boots

The boots were perfect out of the box. Sizing seemed accurate to possibly a bit small. I usually wear 10.5-11 and the size 11 boots are great. Not too loose, not too tight. I can wear absolutely any socks, thick or thin - even two pairs - and the boots allow for the room. They are incredibly warm, but also breathe well as my feet do not get sweaty or too dry, nor do they overheat.The only thing I was unsure about was the waterproofing abilities of the boots. I'd only really tested it against the cold (wind) and an inch or two of snow. After this past week however, the boots proved far better than expected. I've worn "waterproof" boots in the past that claimed to be waterproof, but after even tromping around in the snow (wet or not..) my feet would start getting wet, and of course would then be freezing shortly after. After the foot of snow last Saturday started forming 6 inch rivers in the road which I stood in for two hours digging out my car, I'm sold on the abilities of these boots. After the two hours jumping in and out of the water and snow piles, my feet were still warm and dry when I went inside.They are comfortable enough to wear for extended periods, quite light-weight, and seem very durable. I have no concerns about wearing these boots and giving them a beating in the winters. They were a great choice for the unpredictable winters in Nebraska.

Comfy and warm!

I just got these boots in the pewter blue coral color, and they are so comfortable and cute! The tag says they are good down to -25 degrees so we will see this winter. In Minneapolis it can get very cold and I am hoping these will help when I am out shoveling the driveway early in the morning. I will also see if the suede is as waterproof as they say on these boots. There's nothing worse than cold and wet feet. I got a size up because I read other reviews that said Columbia boots run small. I'm glad I did, my regular size would have been too small to wear these boots with thick socks. They also have lug soles to help with traction on ice, another essential here in Minnesota. The higher shaft up the calf is nice too, to keep snow out of the boot. The other boots I had were too short and filled up with snow. The fur around the top is a nice touch. They are easy to pull on and off, and I have a high arch so I wondered about that. I am hoping for great things from these boots this winter!
