I bought these boots to use when I ride in muddy, mucky conditions and they work really well. Really comfortable and warm and totally waterproof. I've received a lot of compliments on them from much more experienced horse people too! The only drawback is that they're really roomy through the foot so I need to wear thick socks with them to keep from feeling like my foot is swimming around but in mucky conditions I'm probably likely to want a thick sock anyway. Very pleased with these boots.

I tried on something like 10 pairs of black casual boots - not for heavy duty outdoor work/play like riding or stable work - just to wear everyday, and wanted something that would look equally good outdoors in bad weather or just to wear when it's cold but there is no bad weather. This pair was my second choice (I ended up going with the Sorrel Slimpack). This is a nice boot that doesn't look too "rain booty" - I could see wearing it on all kinds of weather or no weather at all, and with lots of different outflts - leggings, jeans, skirts, etc. If I needed two different pairs I'd definitely have kept these. Note that I think they run a bit big.

After much debate I ordered these boots. Initially I did not want to spend the money...BUT they are wonderful! Stylish and cushioned and functional! What more can you ask for! I can even roll the tops down a little if I like. I hope they last a really long time! I get a lot of compliments on them out at the barn. I am a small person so they are pretty heavy duty, but again, it works! I do have to wear heavier, taller fuzzy socks with them so I prevent any rubs as I do live in FL and boy is it hot here!!! But, that is pretty much the case with many things so that's not that much of an issue for me.
