Beautiful warm boots

I got these for Christmas and I LOVE THEM! First, I should say the reds are really too dark in the picture. The red is more of a cherry red. (go on the Zappos website for a better pic). These boots have nice warm lining, they aren't heavy at all, and they keep my feet nice and warm. And they are TOO CUTE! The only negative is that they only come in full sizes, so they're a tad big on me (I bought the 8s, but wear 7.5). but other than that, they're wonderful! really make you feel happy and warm when its cold and dreary out!

Love them

I love these!!! A little big. I'm normally a 7.5 or 8 so I went with an 8 to avoid my toes being squished. I wish I had gotten a 7 now but the 8 is definitely manageable. I live in Michigan so I've had the chance to wear them a few times and they've been great. I love the color.

Great Boots!

I deliver newspapers every morning, 7 days a week, in all types of weather - rain, snow, sleet, etc. I needed a good pair of boots that wold keep my feet dry & warm. These boots are great. They go as high as just under my knees so they do a job job at keeping the snow out of the boots. They're waterproof so they wick away all snow from top to bottom. I wore these in a blizzard where we got a foot of snow. I trudged through snow that was way over my ankles & climbed through & over large mounds of snow left by the plows, snow that went up to my knees & the boots kept my feet dry & warm. They have a thick red inner liner that insulates the boots from top to bottom down to the toes so they keep your feet warm, didn't have cold feet at all & I'm usually out in the elements for at least 4 hrs a day. The foot part wasn't hard on my feet since the insulating liner makes it feel soft on my toes & comfortable. I also needed a boot where I didn't have to worry about open shoelaces & these boots have a tie on the laces so that you can cinch the laces tight & they won't even come loose or separate. I am normally an 8 & 1/2 wide foot, I bought a size 9 & they're snug & fit perfectly, I listened to the reviews that they run big & a size 9 does fine. They are large bulky boots, not much on looks but fantastic in functionality. The only issue I had was getting used to driving in them, at first I couldn't feel the gas pedal under my foot since they're big but after an hour I got used to it & didn't notice. Had no major issues slipping on the ice either, they seem to get good traction but I was mostly in deep snow. If you need boots to keep your feet warm & dry, & something for deep snow these boots work great. They're also easy to slip on as well if you need to run to the store or just to run out to shovel. I just wear a thin pair of regular socks & no issues & my feet are warm. Remember, I'm out in weather that's below freezing, walking through 3 ft snow drifts & my feet were warm & dry so they should work perfect if you're a mailman, newspaper carrier, or just to go shovel your driveway or something. Great boots!

Not true to size

The boots seem to be well made and sturdy. Although they are bulky and not very nice looking, I ordered them for play in the snow with my kid, but after reading the reviews (when I ordered the product in December there were at least 7 reviews; which, strangely, are no longer there), I decided to order a size larger, since all the reviews were suggesting that. I normally wear 8.5 shoe, and a size 9 winter boot, but after reading the reviews ordered a size 10. Big mistake, shouldn't have listened to anyone. The boots are so huge, my feet are "swimming" in them even with 2 pairs of thick socks. Unless you have really wide feet, there is no need to go up a size.

Winter Wear

The boots are sturdy and well insulated. The only thing I have trouble with is getting it to hug my feet tight enough with the bungees to avoid the boots from flopping around on my feet when I walk. However, that could simply be that the boot is too large for me. I ordered 1/2 a size larger than normal footwear to ensure I had room for winter socks... and it was completely unnecessary. The boots offer good traction on snow and ice. Overall, good purchase! Stick to true size!

Wanted to love them

I so wanted to love this boots. I help on to them and kept trying them on, but they just don't fit right. Love the styling, how they look, the comfort of the foot, that they are good for rain & snow. I want a boot that is comfortable walking in, and Keens always work for me. It is probably my wide calves, but that wouldn't have been such an issue if the zipper wasn't so sticky and difficult to pull up. Once I had them zippered, they sagged in the ankle. If I could afford to, I would hold on to them longer, but I really don't see myself wearing them anytime soon. I am trying to replace my beloved Uggs Brooks short boot which have lasted for years...I can only find the tall version now.

Spectacular!

I love Keen but never owned a pair of their boots. These looked comfortable, along with being warm and waterproof. They're perfect for casual wear and definitely work appropriate. I recieved them in the mail yesterday and presently wearing them with a casual dress, they look adorable. More importantly they are true to size and SO comfortable. I feel as though I'm wearing sneakers! I don't see there being a breaking in period either as the leather is not stiff. The boots have a lot of give and cushion. Keen is worth the price tag in my opinion. The seller was great also b/c I changed the size after my order was placed and everything was correct when the came.

Practical, need to break them in to love them

Sizing and look:When I initially bought these, I wasn't very keen (no pun intended) on keeping them. The ankle space is wide and I felt that it made them look galosh-y. However, I wore them for a few days to give them a chance, and the leather around the ankle became more flexible and conformed well to my shape. The design of the boot is great, especially if you are looking for a classic, no-nonsense look. The boots look really good OVER jeans - my calf circumference is 11 inches around and I wear thick woolen socks inside, and there is just the right amount of space for my jeans to go in. I do not wear dresses in the cold at all, but for the sake of an all-rounded review, I tried them on under a dress with leggings - they looked just a tad wide around my calf since I wasn't stuffing pants into them, so if you have bigger calves than mine this boot will look better with dresses on you. I love the height of this boot - it sits about 1 inch under my knee, and I am 5 ft 5 inches tall, 126 lbs. The leather is really soft and shiny and therefore adds to the attractiveness of the shoe. Much of how good this boot looks depends on what you want in a shoe - I value practicality over look but I always look for a balance between the two. I do not mind a boot that is slightly bulky as long as I don't look like a Yeti-hunter and I am comfortable. My shoe size ranges from 7.5-8, but I ordered 8.5 since I wear thick socks under boots, and they fit perfectly. This boot is best for somebody with a 12-13 inch calf and a classic, practical taste.Comfort and practicality:The sole is AMAZINGLY comfortable - I cannot wear anything with a heel, and this boot lets me walk forever without giving me any back or foot pain - lots of cushioning and give. They are really warm and my feet are cozy in them, so they are great for the cold outdoors. They are also great for hiking, as the sole is essentially a hiking sole. I can't comment on how waterproof they are since I haven't worn them in the rain yet.All in all, don't buy these if you are a passionate fashionista, but if you love the outdoors and want a durable, high-quality boot that meets a balance between look and practicality, its for you.

good price, good boot..so far.

I am a courier for Fedex. I live in Michigan so I need a good boot to keep my feet warm in the winter.I will be honest, I swore to never buy another pair of Columbia boots for work..ever. In the last 6 years I have had 3 pairs of Columbia boots blow out on me within the first 3 months of wear, the last pair went about two weeks after I got them. Many of the drivers complained of this and after contacting Columbia with them showing little concern I said never again.The Northface boots I got 2.5 years ago are holding up well but losing their traction. So after finding they no longer make the boots I loved..I started searching around and came up with Columbia again.It looks as though they have changed some details on these boots, they are lighter, different insulation and what looks like a sturdier outershell.Because of the price and discount I got I (against my better judgment)ordered a pair.We had our first big snow today ( I got the boots yesterday ) and I got to try them out.I wore them for 10 hours today. They were very comfortable, light, a little stiff ( but hey, they are brand new ) and very warm. I was in and out of my truck all day. Walked through 8 inches of snow mutiple times, walked through slush.... they were great. Didn't leak at all and my feet stayed warm.So, I am giving them a good review, for now. I will come back later (after a couple months ) and comment as to whether they are holding up or if they have busted a seam like the previous boots.

Fast shipping. The boots are sturdy and awesome, definitely waterproof and feminine yet rugged in its own way. Love the boots...I am in North Pole, Alaska. Its -30 degrees Fahrenheit, snow everywhere, and these boots are doing the job. Thank you :)

What A Shame

For years I've heard folks rave about the Columbia Bugaboot and this year when looking for a winter boot to wear around town I bought a pair of the Bugaboot Plus.They've been updated this year with what they call "omni-heat" technology which is a metalized lining in the boot that reflects heat back to your foot. In these boots this new fangled insulation does not extend onto the foot bed. Even though they are rated at -32c/-25F after only 2-3 hours in them at -5c my ankles were warm but my toes were cold both in feeling and to the touch. I don't know what the other raters were wearing for socks that they found them warm but with a pair of medium thick sport socks I found them to be anything but warm. I would not want to be wearing these at -32c.The opening of the shaft is also VERY small (and this is also apparent in the pictures) when the boot is laced to the top. Small enough that when you tuck the bottom of your jeans in you actually can't get the over padded tongue in place well enough to lace all the way to the top. I tried lacing down one set of hooks to accommodate the jeans but after a few steps they just rode up out of the boot and I found myself constantly re-tucking and re-lacing.The gusset on the tongue only goes half way up the shaft as well which means snow will get in unless your pants are over top of the boot.Sizing is on the small and narrow side. I take an 8 normally and had to get a 9 to fit well.The whole boot was extremely stiff especially the back of the shaft and I found it very uncomfortable on the back of my leg. Driving made that even worse. Just pushing down on the accelerator was enough to make the top of the boots push hard enough into the back of my leg that it was VERY uncomfortable. This may go away with time and wear if you're willing to wait it out. I'm not.On the up side - there is really good support in these boots and they keep your feet nice and straight and in line with your ankles. The grip on ice is also really good.They went back. I live in a climate where -20c/-4F is an average winter temperature and I'm afraid these boots just don't cut it.The original Bugaboot or the Bugaboot Xtm (which has a 600g lining instead of the 200g lining may be better but the business with the shaft of this boot was enough to put me off of Bugaboots for good.

It was a pretty boot but it was too small on me. I can sometimes where a size ten in boots but not in this boot it was too small. The fur on the boot was very pretty. I would recommened it.

Pajar Women's Maureen Fur Boot

I have been looking for a well-made boot for commuting into Boston in the winter. I have not tried them out yet for durability, however, they fit reasonably well. I am a consistent size 8 and these are 8-81/2. I was concerned they would be too big. They are a little loose, but will likely slip on a warmer sock for the commute because I wait for a train in the morning. I purchased the boot in both brown and black to complete the "commuter uniform." I had been unclear what the difference is between black and black/black. The difference is whether it is a solid black fur or black and grey fur.

Great Snowboots

These were exactly what I was looking for. I needed snow boots that I could easily slip on to go outside in the snow. These boots are warmer than my $3oo boots I bought for skiing! I love them!

Size issue

Too small, I ordered a half size bigger for my wife. when she put them on they jammed her feet into the toe space. She also said they felt like wearing a small heel. Other than that the build quality seemed good and besides the size issue she said they were comfortable. The return process was very quick and professional

Warm and Waterproof

I got these for Christmas just in time to go out to cut firewood in the snow.Pros: My feet stayed warm and dry while trudging through the snow. The laces stayed tied (big deal for me) and the boots felt secure on my feet.Cons: The back of the boots are quite stiff, so one of them rubbed on my foot making the skin sore. This could be prevented with better, thick socks. I imagine they will break in as well.
